Biniyam Bogale

Dr. Bniyam Bogale is a sociologist with a PhD in Sociology based at Jigjiga University, Ethiopia. His academic and research interests focus on migration, health and society, pastoralism, and gender dynamics, with particular emphasis on the Ethiopian context. His work explores how social structures, mobility, and livelihoods shape health outcomes and gender relations within diverse Ethiopian contexts with particular attention to vulnerable and marginalized populations such as pastoral community. Through interdisciplinary and community-engaged research, his aim is to contribute to sociological knowledge and evidence- based policy relevant to Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa.
